CDC Approved Pfizer Vaccine for 12-15 year olds!

Yesterday–May 12, 2021–the FDA & CDC recommended and approved the Pfizer COVID vaccine for 12-15 year olds.

The Cleveland Clinic has already updated their COVID Vaccine page to include 12-year-olds, so it is possible you can also schedule at ACMC.

Eager parents of teens are not yet able to schedule through the Ohio state website, https://gettheshot.coronavirus.ohio.gov

The site redirects you to vaxchat.ohio.gov which will give you this page of approved Pfizer vaccine providers. None of those listed are in or even near Ashtabula County:

University Hospitals has not updated their COVID vaccine website to include teens yet. They specifically list the following information for Ashtabula County residents:

Please note that the Ashtabula County Health Department is no longer scheduling COVID vaccine appointments, but are listing upcoming clinics on the home page of their website.

Trials are currently underway for children ages 5-11. All COVID vaccines have been approved for pregnant women (ages 18+) as well.
